Yes, Got plenty to share, Megan. I planted more last year (what was I thinking!) I don't think the two I planted last year are red. . . and one of them is probably Panorama Mix from Swallowtail, since that's what it was on my spreadsheet. It didn't flower last year since I got it in late and they were small and puny and nearly smothered out by other stuff. They came roaring in this year. Ok, odd request, but does anyone have some extra (like 4" size) nursery pots in good condition? I'm part of a facebook group where teachers can post supply requests. One of the teachers is wanting to do a lesson plant life cycles and needs small containers. I figure if I can help her collect some, that's one less thing she needs to buy.

I'll have tomato plants too, Carol. Mine are huge monsters this year, and the extras became a tangled mess in their flats after I'd done all my planting. Last week I untangled and separated as many of them as I could find pots for, pruned off damaged limbs and any that were too close to the soil surface, and potted them up into significantly larger containers, staking them to bamboo poles to keep them from becoming a tangled mess again. They should grow just fine once they get into the ground. Some are blooming and some have fruit already.

Rebecca, Glad the car is fixed but ouch, those car repair bills always hurt.

Sharon, I can bring 4 o'clocks, but not sure about LB petunias. My volunteers sprouted early 3 times and all froze and I think I only have one or two survivors at the present time. I'll check again after the rain stops. Perhaps there's some new ones sprouting that I didn't notice the last couple of days. Sometimes they hide underneath taller plants.

I've got Pink Evening Primrose plants potted up for Megan and Lisa because they like thug plants.

If anybody wants lemon balm (speaking of thug plants), culinary sage, chamomile, Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina', Verbena bonariensis, datura (the common white-flowered one), or four o'clocks, let me know.

That's all I can think of at the moment. It's been a long, stressful day.

I would love an Indian Stripe, Dawn! Oh my gosh. I have LOST it! I was trying to sort plants for SF friends, school, and Nancy.

I finally got SF stuff together. I think. I had you all on a list but my memory is SHOT! I ended up sitting on a chair with my list on the deck below me and totes scattered all around me. At one point I was looking for mullein for Lisa. I could find NO mullein anywhere! I had like a billion of them! WHAT? I took two clumps to the school yesterday but thought I had lots more here! I finally found two little lone plants that said mullein. I wonder if I already planted some here. Then I finally found a clump in a cup that said mullein. They looked nothing like the other two little ones. LOL And I know the clump of ones are the true mullein, so I splint the clump in half. One for me, one for Lisa. And that's how my entire day has pretty much gone. I'd be sorting, then would dash out and plant one-two, more sorting.

Here is the funniest thing to GDW and me. We don't eat at mid day. We eat hardly anything and many times nothing. in the morning, We hardly ever eat desserts. I'll bring something but won't eat anything.

I know my Gary 'O Sena was not great, also JD's Special C-Tex. Other than that, I'm sure I have at least one of everything I NEED and still won't ave room for them all. I had an epic fail of kale and chard in one bed, so I could put tomatoes there, but I planted tomatoes there last year and I was trying to rotate. Our original plan was chips and dip. With a wedding Friday, that will probably be our food contribution. Probably hummus with that.

I love how the closer it gets the more posts and the excitement builds. I am excited for you all. The plant lists have me drooling as well as food like pork butt. Sounds like it will be record breaking fun.

Finished potting up for Saturday, and planting what’s left of my own flowers, so I can see what I have room for. Tons of tomatoes, mainly disease resistant hybrids. Assortment of Jet Star, Big Beef, SS 100, Black Pearl, Brandy Boy, Super Tasty, Bucks County. Think there’s a couple Creole and Super Sioux too.

I changed my mind on the food I’m bringing. I realized that the salad I wanted to bring is only good when I have homegrown tomatoes to put in it. Instead, I plan to bring broccoli salad unless that messes up what anyone else was bringing.

Rebecca, I'll take some basil. I'm always worried I won't have enough, although the volunteers start going strong in June. However...what if they don't. SO, I want some more.

The pork butt is smoked, wrapped and resting in an ice chest. As soon as it cools enough to pull, I’ll get it chilled.

I’ll grab buns, bbq sauce and whatever fixings that catch my eye.

Unless someone else has mentioned it, I’ll pick up paper and plastic goods to serve, eat off of or drink out of.

I'm going to scour the garden today, searching for any volunteers that might be popping up today. My volunteers are late, late, late this year and I blame the recurring rounds of cool, cloudy weather. Unfortunately most of the volunteers I'm finding this year, courtesy of the nearby woodland, are greenbrier, hackberry and elm. Nobody in their right mind wants those.

Oh, does anybody want onion chives (purple blooms) or garlic chives (white blooms). I have plenty of both. Just let me know, and I'll bring some. This would be full-sized chives divided from existing clumps, and cut back accordingly. They should regrow quickly since they're already mature plants. Onion chives bloom in April and May and garlic chives bloom in summer.

Rebecca, the parking is paved and the pavilion in on a concrete slab. There are hiking trails, but I think the risk exposure to mud is minimal.

I’ll go back through both threads and make sure I’m not missing any plant requests.

Oh, I have a couple of Lipstick peppers. They are supposed to be a red sweet.

And a couple of Tabasco. I use them to make hot sauce, but one plant puts out a bajillion and I get tired of picking the little suckers!

Nancy, we didn't plan on fixing any food to bring because we won't be there for long. I might try to make some deviled eggs or something just to contribute, but just got word that my in-laws are in OKC already. A day early. I'm so glad Tom took tomorrow off work. I have to work because we have our annual St. Jude's Trike-a-Thon.

I have nothing to fix them for dinner tonight...and I have to help Ethan pack for his band trip (which probably includes doing laundry. I know he's practically grown, but if I don't help, he'll forget something important like his 'concert black' clothing.)

Dawn, I think you already said your LB petunias are late this year, but if you do bring some, I would love one of those too. I'm not counting on it though. I thought for sure I would have some LB volunteers of my own. Unfortunately, when my hens escape, they go to that particular area and scratch. Pretty sure I saw tiny volunteers just last week, but they have been scratched up now.

Nancy, I think I dug up two of the sculpit so I'll put your name on the other. Mine I got last year stayed green all winter (it's also on the south side, so that may have something to do with it), and is outgrowing its container. I'll have to move it to the garden somewhere & hope it plants more seed this year.

Oh, and I forgot I volunteered to make some signs. Is it supposed to rain? I have plenty of poster board, but if it's going to rain I may need something more durable.

Parking will be on asphalt and the pavilion is on concrete. It isn’t really that wet anyway, but I’m sure if one ventured closer to the lake you could find mud?

The pavilion is large enough we shouldn‘t need additional shade. There are tables, electric and water. There are a couple of grills at one end if anyone wants to do s’mores. I’m bringing a bag of charcoal, lighter fluid and a lighter. I’ll also throw in a few pieces of oak and pecan if we want a little more than coals. A fire sounds a little less needed than two weeks ago, but?

Jen, there is a slight chance of rain early that morning, but it’s like 20%? Signs probably aren’t necessary. It‘s basically a matter of going north at the big sign that has Clear Bay on it to the first crossroads, turn right and follow that road all the way to the end. Or, I think the roads are marked. Take Clear Bay Ave to Little River State Park turn right and go to the end of it.

Sounds much better than the past 2-3 years! It will be splendid, I've no doubt!

I'm excited that we are mostly expecting sunshine. For as long as I can remember, rain has been a part of the Spring Fling. We probably have had one or two that had sunshine and no rain and no threat of rain, but there haven't been many.

Jennifer, Just bring yourself and don't worry about bring food. You are severely overextended this week. I'm glad Tom took today off and can deal with the early arrivals.
