I love White Dove and use it often! I probably have some on me right now! Anyway, are you able to send a photo of your granite? I'd be happy to give some quick advice! Generally speaking, most of my clients prefer a slightly contrasting grout in their kitchen backsplashes. So, for example, a client who did a gray subway tile wanted a white grout. Typically, there is a strong note of their grout color in their granite. Also, keep in mind, you'll be caulking the backsplash to the granite using the same color as your grout (usually). Does the grout look good against the counter? That should help you decide!

Hi again. Thanks so much for your advice. Unfortunately, I don't have the grout color here. Just the bag. It was the lightest grey next to the white. Here is a picture of my kitchen.

Hi, no problem! I think light gray will work. I have a set of grout samples here and I'm laying them next to your photo to verify. I am looking at Pewter and Delorean Gray by Custom Building Products (Yes, that's the actual grout name!) and they work nicely because you do have stainless finishes throughout your kitchen. That will tie well together. I can see why you'd consider something with brown, but truthfully, I like a gray (light or darker) better with your overall kitchen.

If that’s the lantern tile from Home Depot, be warned that the backing disintegrated when ours was installed....meaning the tile setter had to lay most of them individually. See how the tile lines up and know that if you match the grout to the tile, any imperfections are less noticeable.

Hi! No the tile was not from home depot. What a job to lay them all individually. Hope that doesn't happen. Do you think the tile matches the granite? The more I look at the picture, I am wondering if the tiles are too busy??

Your countertop is so gorgeous!!...yes, I, for one, think the backsplash might be too busy with it. I'd find something that won't fight with the counter and let it be the star.

Ahh I think so too. I loved one of the kitchens on here and she had my granite and hers looks beautiful. But I’m not liking it. Back to square one :(

TB, no need to rush. You don't have to have a backsplash to use and enjoy your kitchen.

Many years back, a member here started the arabesque tile trend. She has Antico Bianco granite which looks like yours. Google Beekkeeperswife, GW kitchens and see her kitchen threads.

She moved and used the same tile again but with White Princess granite (?)

I agree with Chispa. I think Bee used grout to match the tiles.

It was actually her kitchen that inspired me. I wanted grout to match the tiles but can't find a good match. Don't want it too white and the others were yellow/white. I chose a very light grey. Here is a pic. I don't want the grout to stand out.

I don't think Bee started the arabesque tile trend! I think they have been around much longer than she has been alive! ;-)

I have quite a bit of arabesque in my house, but since it is a Spanish style house the arabesque tile is an appropriate classic/timeless style in this type of house.

Match the tile otherwise will be too busy with your granite.
