Need to make our master bath larger!

We bought our house because we loved the location and the neighborhood. The house has great curb appeal but our 6 x 9 master bathroom has a lot left on the table. Our 3x3 shower needs updated to allow for freedom of movement, our vanity is in serious need of a update due to the 32'' height and the single row of lights is not conducive. Anyone have ideas on a budget friendly mini remodel?
