I've seen some other posts that recommend a white fan. And one without lights. I like those 3 blade "industrial" looking ones that are really simple but also think they're all too big. I might not use the light very much anyways because I have recessed lighting already. Can also put in lamps by the bedside. But The black swirl one also comes in white...

Now I'm also reading that less blades in a small room make it look less dominant too. The 6 blade fan has small blades (30 inch) so it would be small enough but more noticeable. However I can't find any smaller fans with 3 or 2 blades where the blades aren't 30 inches or less!

I do like the black a lot but I'm trying to imagine if that is a design no no! Anyone have input? thanks

I would go for a white fan (whether or not it has a light depends on your needs) so that it will visually disappear. you have some nice features in the room like the bay window and brick wall. I don't think you'd want the fan to be the focal point of the room.

thanks a lot. I think so too. I decided to just increase my budget and found one I really like. I'm hoping for some imput for the color though; It comes with a white body and an off-white gray fan blade that is a similar color to my walls. I can use a coupon on this from Lowes to get a discount.

Or I can get it on amazon for full price in all white. I like both and think it might work with my wall color to get the 2 color from lowes but can you provide a designers imput?
