ISO Solution to Replace Canned Lighting on an Angled Ceiling

I am trying to resolve an existing lighting problem. This is a picture of the canned lighting on the angled ceiling in my living room. The middle one is an eyeball. On the aqua wall, below the middle painting, is a limestone fireplace. Below the other two paintings, are fairly tall windows.

I think the idea of the canned lighting was to illuminate the fireplace and/or any art above the mantel and windows. It was probably a good idea on paper but I don't think any of the three lights function as intended. The eyeball shines on the floor in front of the hearth and the two outside lights blind anyone in the room. I leave all of them off all the time, but I'd really like a better solution--preferably one that doesn't involve re-sheetrocking the ceiling.

After loads of dead end research (which is weird, to me, since I'm guessing this problem is not all that uncommon), I think I may have found an attractive solution: monopoint directional spots. There are two models that I am considering right now by Tech Lighting. I just found them, though, so there are probably other good choices.

If you follow this link https://www.lumens.com/directional-spotlights/?sz=24&start=0 it will lead to a page which has them both--Tellium Spotlight and Ace Directional Head. I still need to figure out if the monopoint base will cover the can opening (I have the big cans) or what I would possibly need to add or change that would cover. I have not talked with the people at LUMENS yet but I will since the local electrician I spoke with doesn't have experience doing a can to spot conversion and neither do I. So, there may be other issues with this type of conversion that I haven't thought of.

Does anyone have a successful experience to share for this type of lighting change (switching out cans on an angled ceiling to some other type of fixture that can actually direct light onto the wall)? If so, please let me know. Thanks and best.
