Any grow Weigela, Spilled Wine?

I'm looking to maybe add 2-3 of these in our foundation landscape which faces West, so we get the afternoon sun. Just wondering how they will do. I garden in zone 5b in NW Illinois. How long does these bloom? Do the leaves change colors? Are there any pests I should be aware of? Any advice is appreciated.

Hi, I know you posted this a while back, but I just bought 2 of these. Did you purchase any?

I’m curious as to how well they will overwinter in my zone 3. I know that they bloom on old wood thus I might not get any blooms, but it’s ok, I bought them for their foliage.

They have some winter damage here in 4b after a hard winter, but grow back.

Not this year when the coldest temps hit in late January. Maybe 4-5" on the ground at that time.
