Anyone heard of a nonflowering sagebrush? I should mention what kind of sagebrush, I guess. I was thinking of Artemisia tridentata or a hybrid like it. The A. tridentata shrubs look nice and interesting until they start flowering. Unfortunately after they start flowering each year they grow a branch or branches only for flowers. After the flowers die the branch dies. Over the years these dead branches accumulate making the plant look half dead even though that is normal. You can clip off the dead branches if you want to but has anyone developed a cultivar that doesn't flower? The flowers aren't much to look at and some people are allergic to their pollen. I thought I read of some nonflowering cultivars someplace but I can't find anything about them on the Internet.
