Given that these are mostly used in offices, maybe a product that doesn't draw too much attention to itself would be best. Reviewers like these Genesis Smooth simple tiles which look pretty good in the accompanying pictures. This Mono Serra Wall Design tile provides some detail but not too much (IMO).

These tiles are pretty inexpensive. Maybe you could install your grid and put up a few to see how they look before buying all that you need.

I'm in the process of renovating my basement too, half of which will be a home office. I already have a drop ceiling grid system in place. The existing tiles are old and stained. Some of them also have water damage. The plan is to change it from a 2'x4' grid system to a 2'x2' and install Ceilume Stratford. https://www.ceilume.com/gallery/Stratford/

I chose Ceilume because I like the fact that I can clean the tiles, it's waterproof, and allows me to access water lines if I need to. It's an affordable, good looking, easy to install solution for a DIYer.
