Hello! I pruned back my FLF almost 4 weeks ago. The actual tree is doing great, 2 new branches budding below the cut point and the rest of the tree sprouting well. This is my first time attempting propagating- I have rooting hormone gel but didn’t use it because I didn’t read the directions before buying and it was for placing cuttings in soil. The cutting has little root buds but they haven’t done much (the budding photo is from the 3 week point). Just wondering if this is going to work? Is it too late to add rooting hormone (gel or other)? Am I better off moving to soil?

Any advice greatly appreciated!
