Master Bedroom Ceiling

My ceiling just was always sloped with crown molding , we added trim to make it appear more finished and it never looked right. Was hoping to removing the added trim, keep original crown and doing something to the ceiling ? Not planning on keeping the chandelier either. What do you think would be the easiest fix. Not looking to rip the whole thing out. Thanks in advance !
