I'm almost done with indoor seed-sowing. Yes, I know that it's late for my climate to be doing this. And yes, I know that this is the perennials forum and I'm starting annuals, but I like it here.

Two observations to share:

1. This is the first time I've used Johnny's 512, and I really like it. As it's not peat-based, it doesn't resist water.

2. It upsets me to see that a cultivar introduced in the time I can remember is now classed as an "Heirloom Variety."
