Fake or photoshopped plants for sale are all over the Internet!! And many are from Asian sources that are just trying to bilk you out of your cash with little likelihood the seeds will ever germinate or of they do, will never look like what is in the photos. Plants/fruits/vegetables just do not come in all the colors they advertise!! They also circumvent international APHIS regulations by using phony info on their shipping labels so who knows what sort of potentially diseased or highly invasive species you might be inadvertantly importing into the country!

This is a case of buyer beware. Research the plants and the vendor thoroughly before ordering!

Absolutely! I've been gardening for years and should have known better. What's most frustrating is that they edit reviews making it difficult to warn other growers. Thanks!

Not certain which online retailer I bought these from. The seed packet reads 'Bellfarm' (NOT the legit kitchen place). I purchased them in the fall and planted some for this spring. I just Googled Jack's Farm, and yes, they show the same doctored photos on the site, only those pics are actually worse! When I put in Bellfarm, Jack's pops up. Had I looked there first, I definitely wouldn't have bought the seeds. I've included the original hosta pic above.

pretty sure.. if there ever was any plant that somehow looked like that.. that it would NEVER be multiplied/replicated by seed ...

it would have to be tissue cultured ...

think about it.. what could possibly be the parents ...the red one.. and the lilac colored on ... lol ...
