kitchen shelf placement

Can someone do a mock up of a shelf for my kitchen? I'm thinking white to match the cabinet but not sure how long a shelf or if I should do one or two. Also any ideas on what to put on it would be helpful as well. It will be hard to reach anything on a shelf there so it would be more decorative than anything thank you!
