Chrome is classic, so you can use it and it will look good. However, unless you are trying to control costs and have little to no wiggle room, decide if that extra $50 or so dollars is worth not getting what you really think will set off the bathroom. Will it bug you every time you see it for the next many years? If it will, go ahead and spend the extra. You won't regret it in the long run. I was in a similar situation and someone told me to think about how I would feel when I looked at it day after day. I decided that I would regret not getting the faucet I really wanted and spent the extra money. I'm so glad I did. No regrets.
