LED question regarding rooting

last modified: 7 years ago

I have several hoyas I am trying to root, some in my kitchen and some in my bathroom. I have had issues with some in the bathroom rotting so I am guessing perhaps humidity is too high and lighting is not as good as the kitchen. My kitchen ones root fine, less humidity but brighter light. my question is, we have under cabinet LED lighting in our kitchen, would it benefit the rooting process to leave the LED lighting on all day, especially when we have cloudy days? (I am currently doing water rooting and some I am doing water/perlite rooting method). Here is the info on the lights:

865 Lumens output, 17.2-Watt, 50.29 Lumens/Watt, 3000K, CRI80, equivalent to five 20-Watt xenon G8 light,

Thanks for any advice-Katie
