High humidity is beneficial when rooting, and lower light conditions are good as well, so not sure why the bathroom isn't working. Here's my routine... this kind of pot...

Fill it about half full with chuncky perlite. Wet it good and stick your cuttings in there and put it in a cache tray with about an inch of water. Mist the top of the perlite every few days and make sure the water never dries up. The roots that form are very strong and don't need to readjust to soil.

I've only recently been trying moist Perlite. Have some Peperomia leaves in moist Perlite, but covered container. Knocked it over recently & saw nice roots before I put it back.

Sorry Katie, I'm unfamiliar w/ using lights.

I had about 10 different Hoya varieties trying to root in the bathroom and they all did significantly worse than the ones I rooted in the kitchen - lesson learned don’t change it if it is working! :).

Thank you Denise for the perlite rooting explanation, I am using that method on 2 cuttings I really want to root. The rest of the bathroom cuttings I went ahead and potted up in my chunky mix and am hoping for the best!
