Sorry about that, the picture didn't upload the first time around. I'm watering once per week in Los Angeles, letting the soil dry out before giving it healthy watering. The weather is temperate right now and I'm fertilizing once every two-three months.

I don't think once a week watering is enough, also your soil looks extremely dry, I'm in NY and once my grapefruit goes outside I have to water her once a day, sometimes twice a day, and she's in a much larger pot than yours. Is there drainage holes in that pot? I think she looks good in spite of the browning leaves..

Those yellowed leaves look like older leaves, in which case this is normal. If you are worried about salt buildup, flush the soil with plenty of water, perhaps 5 gal.

How often one needs to water depends on, among other things, the nature of the soil mix and the amount of rain that falls. In my case, during the summer, I water only the trees in 5-1-1 mix about once a week and the ones in gritty mix about twice a week.
