Kitchen sink placement issue- help!

I am renovating a small opened-up kitchen with an island. It is open-concept. Currently, the sink is along the wall under the windows, and the hoodless range is on the island. I want to move the sink to the island, and the range to the wall (to add a vent). We figured out due to space constraints, doing so will mean the area under the window will just be counterspace, no sink. Is this an odd thing? I know people usually expect a sink under the window. When standing facing the island, there are great views into a living room with floor to ceiling windows (one reason for the relocation of the stove, and also reason why we don't want to block the views with a hood). Is it worthwhile to squeeze in two sinks - one on window and a prep sink to balance things out, even if it seems cramped?
