I'd contact Shaw with those pictures and questions. I'd be terribly disappointed to see these scratches after a month.

That looks more like a finish failure than regular scratches. I, too, would contact the flooring manufacturer.

I don't see any scratches. I see what could be a textured floor where drywall dust or other can be problematic if too much moisture is used in the cleaning process before vacuuming or sweeping. with.

Or is it a cerused/whitewash texture?

I agree with Uptown. This picture shows no scratches I can see. I see some light color in the soft grain but can't tell whether it's unstained wood or residual drywall dust of similar.

In terms of vacuums for our hardwoods, we just recommend using one WITHOUT a beater bar or power rotary brush head. You also should NOT wet-mop, damp-mop, or clean your wood flooring with water or other liquids. Hardwood flooring cleaner can be used if it is sprayed onto a cloth or a microfiber mop (not sprayed directly onto the floor). Don't clean it with any liquid including water? No damp mopping? And, sorry but nothing sprayed on a cloth or mop will really get any floor clean.

If, those are dust and particles trapped in the grain. Use a tampico brush to remove it. It will loosen and remove the particles. Then just vacuum it up.

Cracks in the veneer can happen. Most common with thin 2mm veneers. The core and veneer is expanding at different rates.
