Someone at the swap asked that I post up how I use the Walls-O-Water to get my tomato plants out early. I put most out about April 10 and all have survived the crappy weather we have had.

My setup process is to

1. Plant the tomato plant

2. Place a home depot bucket with the bottom cut out over the plant.

3. Place the empty WOW around the home depot bucket

4. Fill each WOW cell with water about 2/3 full, rotating side to side to keep it balanced

5. remove the bucket and the WOW will fall into a teepee shape

6. I add bamboo canes to help support the sides against the 45 mph winds we seem to get at my house. These are set up INSIDE the WOW and not really touching the sides - just a backup

7. When weather stabilizes a bit, you can fill the cells to the top which will cause the WOW to open Up. I reset the bamboo more vertically at this time.

8. The plant can grow right out the top. When things get hot, remove the WOW.
