Charles Darwin rose

last modified: 7 years ago

Charles Darwin (AUSpeet), a David Austin rose. Bred in 1991 and introduced in the US in 2001. The flowers are very full and rounded starting from orange buds then change to light metallic coppery range and finally fading through gold to cream. Some people like the last stage of the color and some don’t. It has nice fragrance and almost thornless. It is very healthy and repeats well in my garden. Mine is a 2 year old grafted on Dr Huey .
