Reset garage door manual arm each time

My garage door works only if i reset the arm every 1-2 uses. All i am doing is disengaging and re-engaging, and then it works fine.I had the whole system serviced a year ago, balanced and tightened and lubed. I have been faithfully lubricating everything every 3-4 months since. Any ideas? Some photos below in comments.

How is it not working? Does the motor unit not come on when you press the button or does it come on and then go off? Is it only when the door is closed or also when it's open? Does the light on the motor unit blink? If so, how many times and what make/model of GDO is it?

You might try reducing the downward travel distance by about 1/2" via the adjustment on the motor unit, but I'm just guessing here based on a bit of experience.
