Lovely. It sometimes looks almost as dark as Plum Perfect. I have the two of them planted next to each other. Here is my PP. Qs has yet to open its buds.

Totoro, thanks for the photos of Plum Perfect. They look like brothers! I have three bareroot PP soaking and I look forward to put them in the ground.

Rifis, they are own root. I planted them last April. I got them from my local nursery. They were in 3 gallon pot about 2.5’ tall (including pot) at the time.

Sara-Ann, you’ll love your Quicksilver. He has everything a good rose should have, I cannot find a single flaw.

I’m impressed, too! It’s absolutely beautiful. Is that all 3 planted in a row? How wide and tall would you estimate one Quicksilver to be at this point? You’re making me extremely sad that mine(potted) died last summer while I was away, and we got a horrendous Santa Ana:-(

Lisa, the three are side by side covering four panels of fence. Each panel is 6’. I trained them in fan shape so I would say they are currently approx. 8’ wide by 7’ tall.

How I wish they'd start selling this rose here in Europe!!! Jasmina is widely available,I think Florentina is sold...why not Quicksilver? It is so unique...

Thank you everyone for your compliments. As the other Kordes climbers (Honeymoon, Cinderella, Kiss me Kate, Jasmina and Florentina) are fairly new, if you have experience to share please feel free to share.

Oh it is a Kordes? I love Kordes roses, but do not grow those climbers. I only have Westerland and Rosarium Utersen.

Florentina is a beautiful rose from what I have seen.

Altorama, Florentina looks very promising so far. It demonstrated similar growth habit and vigor as Quicksilver. I wanted to have Rosarium Uetersen and its sport Seminole Fire but couldn’t decide which one to get. Also interested in trying Laguna, Larissa and Rosanna 2006.
