you probably have the oldest one in existence.. lol ... all mine died much sooner ... ergo. i have no incite ...

since the center goes to white ... its a net negative on the plant... sooo.... just like GE .... the most sun possible is probably requisite ... have you had any success with GE??? ... if so.. figure out why ..... and treat RM the same ...

I went to grad school 75 miles from home (the only program in my field that was even remotely driving distance). Grad classes were seminar format with sessions at least 3 hours long. I would decompress before driving home by stopping at a garden center on the outskirts of town (also after sitting for 3 hours, I needed to walk around). That's where I bought my first hostas. All of my oldest ones came from there. My first June, a couple of Gold Standard, Liberty, Guacamoles, Frances Williams, Paul's Glory, Inniswood. More, I'm sure. And this Remember Me. Actually, I graduated in 2006, so all these are 13 + years old. I need to stop calling them 10 years old. I still have all of them.

After I graduated I decided I needed more. So I ordered from an online seller that was recommended on Gardenweb. I received teensy things, a 1/3 of which died. Some of the remaining ones took years to produce more than 1 eye.

One of the things I always liked about this Remember Me is that even though it gets no direct sun - just late evening diffused sunlight - the gold center stays vivid gold. Unlike my Junes in the shade. It just glows in the shade.

I've been meaning to move it out of the path of the inexorably marching anemone for several years. This year I dug up the whole area to get the hosta out (and donate most of the anemones).

My oldest GE (~ 9 or 10 years) gets no direct sun; but plenty of indirect dappled light. The place I have in mind for Remember Me is about 10 feet away.

My newer GE (below, 2 years old ) is close to where Remember Me WAS. Much shadier and no direct sun.
