Several folks had questions about this last year, so I thought I’d post an update. Last year, the plant did succumb to black spot, so I am spraying. This is a respectable first flush, I think, for a second-year plant. It’s a little more than 2 feet tall, so I don’t expect it to top out at more than 3, perfect for me. Moses wondered if the blooms were pancake flat: not quite. They last for more than a week and have a charming whorl in the middle as well as a strong fragrance of lemon. Except for the BS, this is a perfect plant for my small urban container garden.
