I don't think getting into a black tub of water is comforting, but that's just me.

Hard to clean? Read the instructions; they don't even want you to use bristle brushes.

I would never--ever--spend that kind of money without seeing it in person.

I have a copper farmhouse sink which I installed for my recent remodel so I did a LOT of research on copper.

My kitchen sink has a living patina - i.e. it is in its natural state and will change depending on what hits the surface - it's bullet proof in terms of maintenance and I love the way it looks but I am not sure I would want its mottled worn in appearance in a bathroom.

However, I would NEVER NEVER NEVER buy copper with any kind of patina that is applied at the factory such as this bathtub because if the patina wears off you are going to be left with an uneven surface.

Also I have experience with a black kitchen sink which I thankfully no longer have. Any kind of water would leave a spot. I have no idea if the black copper finish would also look terrible unless it was dried after each use so the water didn't leave a mark.

You didn't ask but I think free standing tubs are a terrible idea unless one has a huge bathroom in which the bath tub is literally free standing with plenty of room to clean around. Keep in mind that a free standing tub is also higher and potentially more difficult/hazardous to get in and out of.

It’s gonna be gross and swamp nasty in very short order. Signature HardWare’s quality is poor to none. All Chinese import, and most not even certified lead free to legally be sold in the US.
