Hi - I just planted 2 Edens next to a new arbor that get dappled shade most of the day at the lower level due to 3 foot hedges on either side. They came as 2 ft tall stripped bareroots - it's been two weeks and I haven't seen any leaf growth yet. Getting worried. Once they are about 3 feet tall they will have direct or lightly dappled sunlight for much of the day all the way up the 8-10 foot arbor. Maybe I should have planted them in a pot and let them grow taller in direct sun since the first couple of feet of their spots are so shady due to the hedge. I was hoping to avoid having them bleach out as we are in GA and our afternoon direct sunlight is brutal.
