I can't make out much from the pictures and don't know 'Majesty' per se, but from the story of classic overwatering, it sounds as if you're on the right trail to recovery. You don't want to let the soil become BONE dry, but want to keep it almost to that level for a few days/weeks until the danger of root rot is over with. Then return to the normal watering (not what you used to be doing!) For a while, always feel down into the soil. If you feel moisture, don't water it.

The is no way to recover already dead, damaged, or dying foliage. You can cut any of that off and dispose of it. Focus on protecting new growth. If you haven't fertilized it in a while, do that. Be sure to follow the mfg. directions.

all plants lose leaves annually ... and it should be the oldest.. and with palms... those are on the outside ...

so any time i see the oldest .. i just presume they are shutting down.. and will eventually be removed.. when they brown ....

its when new growth is browning.. that you presume there might be some active problems ...

after being indoors.. all plants need some level of hardening off.. before they go out into sunshine.. else you might sun burn leaves ...

insert finger.. and do not water.. until the soil is drying down an inch or two .. do not water according to what the media surface looks like ... you were on the right track when you noticed it wasnt drying as fast as previously .... maybe because the furnace isnt running as much ... who knows ... adjust watering as needed ...

i might move it into full bright shade for a few days.. while it gets used to being outside ... full bright shade.. is probably more intense than anything indoors.. so we temper it for a bit.. before we allow any direct sun ... though your yard looks like dappled light.. so that would be great ....

Water it well, give it some sun and warmth. It'll be just fine now that it's outside.
