Flooret Modin vs Coretec

I have pretty much decided to get the Flooret Modin LVP in Lato for our basement, but my installer is making me re-think this decision. He's really pushing Coretec, saying that he's installed Coretec in homes and businesses, it's scratch-proof, etc. According to him, the Floortec sample he saw in my house was very easily scratched.

Honestly, I don't fully trust/believe him (he's my contractor's brother, and originally gave me a ridiculously high install quote!) - maybe it's cynical, but I'm thinking maybe he's getting kickbacks from the Coretec suppliers? The Flooret wear layer is double that of Coretec, so what he's saying just doesn't make sense!

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has installed Flooret Modin (ideally in a lighter color like Lato!) and if it has held up to scratches, wear and tear, etc?

Do you have samples of both products? See what it takes you to scratch them. It will be more difficult to see the scratching on any lighter product. Are you comparing the Coretec SPC product with the Modin? Make sure you are comparing apples to apples.

Yes, I tried scratching both samples and they both seem pretty scratch-proof! I am comparing Flooret to Coretec Plus Enhanced (Calypso Oak)

Awesome! I don't know anything about the Coretec product, but i'm sold on any SOC product. Flooret wasps very high contender when we were picking our floors. You have to go with what is in your budget, and what you are comfortable with. If you want a product, find an installer who will install it. Flooret will help you with this.
