I don't have mine set to get notifications for postings. However, if someone sends me a private message through Houzz, most times I get the message but not always.

hi Julia , yes private messages are not the problem . It is when someone posts in a statement in a discussion. Usually I am notified by email that someone posted something . Then suddenly I don't hear anything , realize that and when I come to the forum discover people have been posting new messages in the discussions . Why or what causes the stoppage of notification is the problem I have been having .

I don't always get the private message notifications. sometimes I do, sometimes not.

I am having serious problems with my private message notifications. I don’t get any and then get them when it’s painfully too late to even respond let alone get the job.

So what is the fix for this?? I asked very important question but never was notified as I normally would have been. I've never had this problem before. Are there any administrators to check in with? I tried the chat support but nobody was available..

Jaceymae , I am not sure how to reach the administrators . or at least somewhere where you might get some answers. Houzz staff seem to love to play with the program that operates this application . I guess that justifies their jobs but boy it can and is a real pain sometimes.

Initially I got so many emails from Houzz that I disabled notifications. They clogged up my email too much. I just check here almost daily.

Wasn't there a way to just get replies to posts etc? I thought there was anyway. Pretty bad form unless they can fix that! Houzz used to be one of my favorites...still is sorta...but less so bc of this issue.
