Foliage is yellowing

We have had lots of rain this spring, well above average, and daylilies have been loving it. The foliage has mostly been huge, lush and green. We have gone for msybe a week with no rain, cool up til just the last 3 days or so. Kind of up and down temps, but no cold weather. Got down to low 40s 2 or 3 nights, then suddenly hit 90 a couple of days ago. Suddenly it seems like some leaves are turning yellow. I assume it is the shock of abundant water, then none for a few days? The ground is not dried out, I moved a few iris around this morning and still have moist soil. I am hoping it is nothing to worry about, the same thing happened last year, but then we had all the rain plus a really cold April.

I have leaves yellowing too. I'm not sure what it is. The leaves start turning yellow and then brown in the middle. Are you Nancy in KY, or another Nancy?

I am Nancy on Ky, probably about an hour from you. That is exactly what mine are doing. I see no insects, but it is noticeably worse closer to my house where I put my "precious" ones.

I am looking forward to June trip.

My foliage just kind of recovered form the double extra late hard freezes after they had grown to half full height. But it had not affected blooming at all.

I thought it was you, but what happened to your location and zone. There was another Nancy posting on here the other day who said she lived on the coast. I'm looking forward to our Region 10 trip too!

I'm in west central Indiana and we have observed the same thing. Not all all varieties, but there are a significant number with yellowed foliage. We dug some for a sale and noticed that some had rotted roots. Maybe it's too much rain at such a cool temperature. We didn't have any late frosts that would cause the damage.

Debra, probably nothing to do with this, but I had to go in and change some of my settings a while back. Apparently I did something different, I saw that when I created a thread, I have a different name than what is inside that thread, if you understand what I am saying. I may go in and change it again, I find that confusing.

Nancy, I sure hope not from rotting roots! I have enough problems later with crown rot, I still have that to look forward to. Just hoping it is just minor and they will pull through.
