I also wanted to ask if I should place the repotted Olympian figs in the shade or sun? I had them in the sun on a recent day that was in the 80s, then moved them into the shade, thinking that this would stress them out. Weather has been up and down here. A few days in the 80s, then days in the 60s.

The Olympians should be growing by now, even in your zone. If they aren't they are likely dead. Try scratching a little of the bark to see if they are still green and moist inside, because if so there is a chance they will revive. If not, there is much less chance they will recover. I wouldn't bother re-potting them, but still wouldn't throw them away just yet as they may grow back from some surviving root tissue. Just leave them in a warm sunny spot, make sure the soil doesn't dry out too much, and see what happens. This just general advice about figs, because I don't know much about those two varieties.

I went to Lowe's and bought an Olympian that looked dead a few weeks ago. Not a single leaf and no buds swelling. They said I could have it, but I insisted on paying a dollar because I didn't want to walk out with merchandise and no receipt. Besides, I wanted the pot. It sat for weeks until the weather got hot recently. I put it in full sun (no leaves to burn.) I up potted it. Here it is with new leaves coming out. You can see on the left branch where the tissue is dead.

10 days later have you seen any sign of life on the Olympians? The black spots on your White Marseilles could be a fungus or some tiny insect like mites. They can be sprayed for both or if it doesn't look like much damage, wait until those leaves drop off and are replaced by new ones.
