and believe it or not.. it can randomly hit plants .... in a garden bed.. when its rather minor ...

but that is pretty intense ... between plants.. so i wonder if the plants were very minorly cold damaged before you got them ... a quick call to the seller.. and maybe they will admit such ...

look into the interior of the damaged ones.. and if you find unaffected growth tips.. give them a couple weeks for new growth.. and then prune out the damaged parts ...

maybe i am not aware of any plagues on these type of vinca... others will chime in if so ... but i think of these.. as some of the most tender of plants ... so i plant them very late... but for sure.. i am in a colder zone than you ...

This a good example of the superiority of the landscape format in these forums. The forums have a feature to show a larger version of a photo when you click on it. The photos from you, the initial poster, are shown inline full size, whereas photos posted by responders (me, for example) are shown as inline "thumbnails" which will respond to a click by going to "full" size. But "full" size is limited by the height of the screen. So your first picture in this thread actually gets smaller when you click on it, because it is in the vertical Portrait format. This is a Landscape version of a crop from that photo. Click on it for a larger view.

If you click on it, it can actually show more detail than in the original, because it has been rotated to a Landscape format. That blackened mulch is a common factor in many pictures I have seen of plants in distress here. Was that mulch applied relatively recently, and not a factor in those previous successful years?

The mulch was left over from last year. Applying new mulch this weekend. Thanks for the tip about the photo format.
