Outdated Foyer Staircase

In an effort to improve an outdated, carpeted foyer staircase, we painted the wood stair treads and banister high gloss Benjamin-Moore Graphite 1603, the railings Chantilly Lace OC-65 and added a subtle, complimentary grey runner of carpet that mimics the turn of the staircase. The result is modern and compliments the marble entry.

New treads made from oak; railing and balusters removed and reassembled. So glad you like the finished product. We do too!

Emily - The stairs look fantastic. We will soon be in the process to do the same. Were you able to use the same parts, when removing and reassembling the railing and balusters? Thanks in advance!

The disassembly and beautiful reconstruction was done by Joe Lindley and his talented crew at J.R. Lindley Construction in Covington, LA. They replaced the old treads with oak, were able to reuse the original handrail and if any new balusters had to be created, I don't know, but their work was so good, it's impossible to tell...-:) Sign of great craftsmanship!
