Can we see each of the walls? Is your bed located opposite the entrance? Here's a chart for sizing tables and lamps. Is this your bedding or do you plan to upgrade? The warm wall color and cool color headboard are clashing, IMO.

I would get a solid white or white wash dresser, depending on what went well with the night stands. What dresser(s) are you considering?

Can we see a pic of the bed straight on? Is it centered on the wall? Is there room for larger nightstands?

Turn your bedspread down . You have a cream bedskirt; reveal your hopefully matching sheets. There needs to be more of the lighter cream in this mix! I would get a more substantial chest and taller lamps.

I encourage you to check out dressers on the resale market including Craig's List and consignment/thrift/antique stores. There really are incredible deals on makers like Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Ethan Allen (including Legacy line, which is French Country without too much ooh la la) that could suit your space and aesthetic very well. Or maybe you will find something to paint. Bedding-wise,consider adding one long lumbar in a print you adore and simplifying pillows. Pull the color for the walls from that print.

I'd investigate some bedding that gives you a bit more color direction for the room, and ties in better with the headboard. That is pretty 'Meh" for a starting point. : ) A pattern here may be nice. Pottery barn

The few changes you made helped a lot. I still think you can take this further as this is a nice size room; larger nightstands may be something to consider as well as larger lamps. An upholstered bench for the foot of the bed not only looks nice, it’s practical too!

We might try some artwork on the wall to the left in your photo, as for the dresser we think white will work. Below are a few images from some designs we did for clients. Note the night stands and the artwork in the rooms.
