I'll leave it to more experience, but I do like your second plant. It looks a little different with what appears to be slim margins. I'd like to know what others believe it to be. I ordered a subspicata that just up and turned brown and dead in 8 days, I have no masoniana, so there's no personal experience other than that there with 'em. Good luck!

I believe the second one is S. Trifasciata 'Eve' after finding another post asking about IDs on there that looks exactly like mine.

Thank you. I noticed a bloom stock forming now. I hate it when they bloom due to that section is finished. May last another year but will decline and turn yellow then brown. But looking on the bright side, I know more pups are on their way.

Seems like a good idea but it's from the central growing section and with or without a bloom stock, the center is no longer a growing point. Some times the central area rots due to water in the crown and the same thing happens to the whole plant. If strong enough, it still produces pups all around it. This method is used by growers to produce more plants thru pupping. I think they use a soldering gun to kill the central growing point. Same with euphorbia to induce branching.
