I will be there Thursday to Sunday , looking forward to the tour gardens and doing some .shopping.

Sorry about the spaces and punctuation. My computer won't start and Houzz doesn't like my tablet. Words keep vanishing when I hit the space bar.

I skipped Wednesday, couldn't get a room at the Radisson. I'll get there Thursday around 11, catch Don Dean's ,lecture, shop a bit and go to a hotel. I managed to get a room on site Friday and Saturday.

MadPlanter might get you half the convention attendees! Maybe we can find each other and go on the same bus.

It looks like there will only be one convention plant. The alternate didn't TC.

Which one didn’t TC? I wanted Golden Harmony. I forgot the convention was the second week and made plans to go to Thomas the Train with the grandkids. But I am upset about missing Don Dean, and Kathy Baum. Love Don’s hostas, I have several.

LOL, will try to find you on Friday!

Golden Harmony is the plant that they're giving out. No idea what the other one was.

You can see the convention booklet ,online, nice garden descriptions.

Will have to search for that. Thanks.

I'm getting antsy, hoping to find replacements for Crocodile Socks and Android, also a Gabriel's . I plan to wear a lavender Hostas in Ahhhs Midwest convention T-shirt and a green Shady Choice Garden Club on the tour bus , weather permitting. Look for a short gray haired woman with a big camera.

Madplanter, I passed on Crocodile socks, although I love Alligator shoes. What do you recommend about it? Android has some funny pic in the library.

Look for Karen and Ellen, likely to wear hostaffinity shirts.

lindalana, I got Crocodile Socks from Art Jacobson. He had a little place in the country, and got hostas you couldn't find most places. Nice guy, used to sell on the Hosta auction. He died a couple years ago. CS is one he talked me into, a tet version of Alligator Shoes. Only want it for sentimental reasons.

Android was a favorite part of my Star Trek bed, thought it was really pretty. Alas, nobody has it for sale.

It looks like we'll have good weather for the garden tour.

So much for nice weather, although better a light rain than a downpour. Sorry I haven't found any of you yet.

I was on bus 130 today. It had been acting up but they sent it out anyway. It broke down a mile from the hotel, and we waited around an hour for a new one. Our driver says they're using it tomorrow, you might want to avoid it.

Grrr, that is nasty. We got hit by rain for 2 out of 4 gardens but everything else was smooth

Look for a short gray haired woman with a big camera.

==>> did this description narrow it down beyond just about every woman on every bus???

will be awaiting pix posts ...

how about a couple of vending ... and of course.. the leaf show ...

short of hail.. i doubt rain wouldnt stop me .... if God wants to take me out with lightening... in a glorious hosta garden .. so be it ... cant think of a better way to go ...

    Winner.

All my pics are in the camera, and we aren't going straight home. I'll have mine in a week or two. Great tour gardens both days, hope the photos do them justice.

After seeing them in the garden, I "had" to have Pinani Island Surf, Prairie Moon and Foglight. I'd already bought everything I really wanted (no Android or Crocodile Socks to be found) , but the bright golds were really eye catchers.

Currently skipping the banquet, needed some time off my feet.

lindalana, tell me more! is it yours? what's its name? and are you having fun?

Banquet was fun as well as whole trip. Super nice people, amazing gardens. I was thrilled to win blue ribbon for 2 of my 4 entries, mind you, first timer here but there were lots of blue ribbons . Best of show was not mine, winner was leaf One's Man treasure.
