The one with flowers is Arugula. Annual.

Btw many weeds are perennial.

oh I am aware of perennial weeds. I should have worded that differently. I have a lot of arugula & it looks nothing like this.

I am pretty sure about the id. Have you seen yours in flower? If you Google Eruca sativa in flower you'll see dozens of images like your plant. (Ignore the ones with yellow flowers. That's wild arugula, a different species. Behind the Arugula you have Borage.

I planted the borage myself so I do know that one. this is obviously a different variety of arugula than the one I've been growing.

Do you have pictures of the arugula you are growing? Maybe we can pin down an accurate id for that. The one in your first photo and the picture from my link are both regular Eruca sativa. Perhaps you are growing wild arugula, Diplotaxus tenuifolia?

I have a seed packet that says it's rocket ( roquette ) eruca sativa. but it has smaller yellow flowers & the leaves are a lighter green. doesn't matter. since the plant in the photo is arugula i'll leave it be. the bees love the blooms & it's great in a salad. I also have some wild arugula seed that I haven't sown yet.
