I want to make a custom lamp post for this lantern, to mimic what I can see in this photo - just super simple stained wood. But since it will be outside and I want to avoid rot, I’m looking for a composite lamp post that looks like stained wood, but that has no ornamental detail. Just modern and straight. It would also have to be 6x6 to accommodate this lantern and also be hollow for the electrical. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
