Beautiful! All your roses are so healthy. What potting mix do you use? Is your pot plastic or clay?

mine don't even look half that size. Love your colour and vibrance compare to mine which is way lighter buttery colour.

How gorgeous! I also want know your secret to such lush growth in a pot. How is the fragrance (DA website says musky-tea which sounds fabulous) and bloom size? Is it actually thornless as stated on HMF? Reminds me of my DA rose Golden Celebration, which has bloomed almost non-stop from last fall until now and has an intoxicating fragrance of fruity/damask to my nose. HMF doesn’t always have accurate information though; it says GC has 2.75” blooms, but mine are routinely 5”. I adore yellow roses so I may need to find a place to put Molineux.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I didn't do a lot for this rose, it's just amazing by itself. It reminds me of Julia Child with an English rose look. Like Jo said, Molineux is a workhorse in a garden.

sultry_jasmine_nights, I just used the regular Miracle-Gro potting soil I picked up from Home Depot. The pot is plastic 21" W x 17" H.

Stephanie, DA website is correct in describing its fragrance.

Kristine, are yours own root or grafted? Mine is grafted on Dr. Huey. For my garden, grafted DAs are doing really well. Own root DAs will need time to mature and show case their best.

vaporvac, LOL, thank you :) DA website has very good photographers taking pics of their roses especially their wedding roses. Those pics are such an inspiration.

Ken, I watched a YouTube of you where you gave an interview and showed roses in your garden and I have learned a lot from you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

cyndita, I use the regular Miracle-Gro potting soil, and I often behind on fertilizing the roses because of busy work schedule. If a rose looks good in my garden, most of the time, it's a healthy rose that was placed in a spot with plenty of sun. I have some healthy roses that I planted at one side of the house which didn't have a lot of sun and the roses perform just average.

I agree with pippa! I saw a Molineux with a DA tag and the picture wasn’t really as good as yours. I thought about getting it, but it just didn’t look dimensional in the yellow, very flat. Your Molineux looks absolutely stunning! Loving the orange tinges and buttery suppleness. Might have to put it on my list.

Beautiful pics! I like the apricot orange centers, and how perfectly the plant fills that pot. My Molineaux is just ever so slightly behind yours in progress....lol!

'Molineux' is one of my very best. Fragrance is musky. 'Golden Celebration' and 'The Poets Wife' have also proven themselves to be good yellow Austins in CA, with a sweeter citrus fragrance.
