Fibreglass vs Concrete Pool - Perceived Value

I have a question about fiberglass vs. concrete pool. While all the evidence / logic point towards getting getting a fiberglass pool (latest technology, has the 16 x 40 size I'm looking for, lower maintenance, quick installation etc), I keep getting advised that there is a perceived 'prestige' value in a concrete pool in a high-end home? Would appreciate anyone's feedback. Thanks

Of course the better value is the permanent non plastic choice.

Call a local realtor and they can advise you, but I agree with GreenDesigns, especially for a high end home.

Fiberglass pools develop stress cracks and blisters over the years. This can be difficult to repair and/or find someone to do it properly. Concrete pools will require replastering in the same time frame but it's much easier to find someone to do this.

Your limited on sizes and configurations on fiberglass. There's much more freedom in design with a concrete pool.

They are less expensive and can be installed quickly.

Fiberglass pools are bit tricky to install and an experienced installer should be a preference.
