Rose seeds do not grow true to variety. That means you won't get a duplicate of the rose you gathered the seeds from. You never know what you'll get. You could get a pink rose from seeds from a yellow one and a very scented rose might have babies that have no scent at all. Each seed is its own new variety and can express any trait present in the lineage of the parent roses. You just grow them and take your chances.
