Why will you not follow the directions to let it soak for 1/2 hours?

It's a bit difficult to "soak" adhesive on the ceiling.
Maybe, apply the solvent, ommediately tape a heavy sheet of poly, and tape?
I'm guessing someone else will have a better idea..

Remove the ceiling drywall and replace if it’s so hard to wait 2 hours. It’s the cheaper alternative to patching and skim coating every single time.

I would try a heat gun and a scraper.

Edited to add: any way you look at it, you are going to need to do some patching and sanding of the ceiling and then paint. So don't be too concerned if you make a mess of the ceiling wall board.
