Googling Verbascum Thapsus, that looks JUST like it. I bet that's it. I'll keep trying with the photo, but I think that's it!

when uploading photos you need to wait until the initial grayed out image gets full color before hitting submit.

I was having issues uploading pics recently. The pics never stopped being grey (even after waiting several minutes) and never uploaded. So I had to go to my profile to create an ideabook, where I first uploaded the pics, then to add them to my comment I clicked on Houzz photo and selected the pics. It is a nuisance. Some people, myself included, have issues using Houzz.

Rodney can you not use the photo icon and upload your pics directly from your device?

Brandon only when adding a photo to an original post do you need to wait for it to turn from gray to clear. When added as a comment there is just a green spinning circle.

Hmmmm, peren.all. That may depend on the device. For me I never see a spinning green circle and always have to wait for the gray to get full color regardless as to whether it is a comment to the original post.

I post on a tablet mostly, occasionally a laptop, both Mac.

My eyes are too old to like something as small as a cell phone screen.

Once in a while, I upload a photo that is too large (desktop). The photo stays gray and then finally times out. If that happens, I hit refresh (F5) and it usually finishes the upload without issue.

Peren.all- I almost exclusively use my phone to access GardenWeb/Houzz. Below is a screenshot of what it looks like when I try to upload a pic from my phone directly into a comment on here. Like Babs has mentioned, the pic starts out grey and it should switch to normal when it is ready to post but it just stays grey forever for me.

Now I'm having the issue on my phone where not only can I not post a photo, but every word I type into a comment erases the word before it, limiting me to one word comments haha. Only way I'm commenting now is logging in on my computer. And yes, I've walked away with the picture greyed out and come back an hour later still no movement. Regardless, I've pinpointed to plant thanks to your help so thank you very much!

Words disppearing in a comment happens to me as well, Brandon, and has happened for quite a while. When you hit space the previous word you wrote disappears. I write my comments in a memo and copy/paste them over here. This problem is one of the main reasons why I mostly just lurk on the forums now.

Very frustrating for both of you and many others. Brandon we would like you to come back with other plants that need an ID. Houzz says the site works best with the latest version of Google Chrome. Access through gardenweb as opposed to Houzz -it seems to have less glitches.
