If you like the shape of the house, then, what appeals to you in the way of color and material finishes? It's anybodies guess otherwise.

Get rid of the shutters, and the exposed structure of the porch.

Bright white would work better in the gables and around the front door. Have a landscaper make recommendations on how planting can improve the balance of the various shapes.

If you can afford it, change the two larger windows to bay windows.

Thanks for helping me get my mind wrapped around it! Here is a closer view. Our dream house that flooded only 11 days after moving into it :( had a mix of stone and brick with a high elevation. It was a spec home so I didn't need to pick anything out and it was beautiful! The shape is fine but I can't figure out why the colors or maybe style doesn't pop out at me.
