Wishing you good luck with your Rio Red. My RR is still too small to get good fruit.

You mentioned Flame -- this one is my current favorite. My Flame hit ~ 8 ft tall and is presenting its best crop ever! In my area you have to let them hang to get the color and the flavor. This is a pic from the 16th of June:

Molewacker, that tree looks healthy and produce good fruit looking at it, nice!

What a great shot! I miss the Flame. That advice about taste is spot on.

These are from the second flush. We'll see if any of these fruits stay.

What happened to your Flame and why don't you get another one?

Dave, Sadly it died a few years back. I haven't seen that kind since. They will mature and ripen within 15-18 months here in zone 5b. Thanks all!

Yes Bob it's grown in a container for now. A very small one, slightly larger then a one gallon container.

Here is an update for November 29. The fruit is growing at a really good pace for almost being December. On the other side of the plant there is one more fruit that is only the size of a golf ball.

Matt, I am surprised it is doing so well in such a small container. Can you get decent size fruit in say a 10 gallon container?

Matt, we had a winter home in lower Florida but sold it in the spring. A citrus grove sold fresh grapefruit and orange juice. The best I have found! Boy do I miss that and the nice warm weather...

Well an update. Spring has shown up in the GH. All the citrus is blooming or leafing out now.

One fruit remains on the Ruby Red. I doubt it will get any bigger, Just hope it ripens.
