There are lots of beauties on this post. I know what you mean about the rain. Tomorrow should be my peak with loads of blooms. But I think the rain will probably ruin them, like it did most of today's blooms. My favorites of what you posted are Moonlit Gold and Thundering Voice. I love the colors and the edges on those two!

Your WOW poly is actually a fused flower. Count the pistils and sepals.

We didn't have rain today, but they are predicting it for tomorrow. I finally got some pollinating done.

Gasping for Breath looks good. Ours, which has been gasping for years now, looks good this spring. It hasn't opened any blooms yet. Your Carnival in Mexico looks like a fused bloom. Eye Scream Sunday is lovely too.

Eye Scream Sunday is richly colored, but alas, most Miners don't do well here. I think David Bedmaker has a few that perform. Did you have deer problems this year? Interesting to see Moonlit Gold. Also, I've wondered about Kennesaw Hayride.

Orange Velvet is such a lovely color, not always an orange fan. It seems the older daylilies are great performers for the most part.

Mantis, I had deer problems when the foliage first appeared. (You reminded me I needed to deter them at that point!). Due to the excessive rains we had in the spring, deer deterrent was useless to put down. I have one section of my yard which is well on the other side of my driveway, where I have lots of noids in a landscaping role, chomped by deer. I did get my deterrents down and have not had them in my major garden. Having just typed that, with the rains we have had this week, I may have not a single bloom in the morning! And I am not sure of Eye Scream Sunday either. I have had it for several years but it has not been in a good place under the encroaching tree. But having said that, just look at that ratty foliage-that is the exception to almost all my lilies. I plan to move it and give it a chance. And Kennesaw-oh, I have just given up on it. It had one glorious season and then has withered to nothing. I moved it to better garden spots but with same results-no multiplying, no blooms. I don't even look at it any more!!

Thanks Sherry-you are so right. This is one I will always have-as a matter of fact, I have three large clumps of it and they are all blooming now. Due to mud and rain, I could not get to the other clumps and this one is blooming in a tree!

Nice group and Ava Gardner shows really well. Rain here too but hopefully after Thursday things will move out.

Moonlit Gold is so pretty in a cluster like that. I liked Ava Gardner so much I bought it a few years back. It was winter killed over a really cold one a couple of years ago. Typical Frank Smith for me. They are so pretty to start with but most just don't prosper as I hope they will........ Really sorry to hear about your deer. .............Maryl

Orange Velvet is an amazing plant isn't it? Its only problem here is it multiplies too fast. I have a monstrous clump of it. I keep just moving stuff away from it rather than tackle it. All beautiful daylilies!

Ava Gardner is a beauty, and sso is yor oldie, Orange Velvet. No surprise to me, Gasping for Breath is what really appeals to me. Such a predictable one. Lovely post in spite of the rains, Kate.
