Try Benjamin Moore Central Park. One shade lighter is Landscape in case you don't have much natural light, but that color is more muted. Central Park has enough yellow to be lively, without being overwhelming.

To my eye, if you go much lighter than the paint named Kelly Green, it stops looking like a kelly green.

BM's Kelly Green doesn't seem like kelly green to me, at least on my screen -- too bluish and cool.

BM Lucky Charm Green?

following,looking for a pop of color for exterior doors was thinking about something like Granny Smith apple green.

B M Kelly green is a mid tone green. Here are a couple more. I think a green with more yellow looks a bit more modern. No mint;)!

Behr Kelly green is lighter and brighter than Ben Moors. Sherwin Williams Greenbelt is another good one. BM Clover green is another but it may prove darker than you want it just depends on light. BM Once Upon A Time is bright.

I like the Central Park but I actually hate kelly green it always reminds me of cheap green pants and tops from Walmart.

Green paint can be a color that will reflect on everything including skin tones making people look a bit green when in the room.

Color suggests different things to everyone ... Kelly green reminds me of St. Patrick’s Day parties. I do see lots of every shade of green appearing in home design where I live.

I love Kelly green. Always have. That said it can be a really hard color to carry off both when wearing and in a home. My favorite is when it is paired with Navy blue

Bright green is not my favorite color. Imagine my surprise when my kids did this for my granddaughter! I think it looks great;)!

BM Sullivan Green?

The grayed greens or olive greens are easier to live with on all four walls. If you want a crisp, bright green, I would choose the Kelly Green you like and just paint one wall - maybe behind a headboard. My son liked this color when he was young also. We painted one alcove wall a bright apple green, and used it for his white desk and white shelves for trophies and things. We also used the green for his bedding. If you paint all his walls a bright green, the best bedding color is likely white, and that's very hard to keep clean for kids.

Everyone makes great points. What about a good lighter green that could go on all 4 walls that is not too mint toothpaste green, not too yellow or olive, not teal, but just lighter softer green but bright and crisp that could go on all 4 walls? Thanks!

Have you considered going in the other direction; darker!

I mean when you say you want “ preppy” green I don’t think of Kelly green! I think more in terms of Ralph Lauren!

If you search the blog called Drivenbydecor she painted her daughter’s room Kelly green and it looks great. She used SW Lucky Green.

Based on my monitor and your descriptions, I'd look at Traffic Light Green (2032-20) (might have too much yellow)

or just above it, Fresh Lime, a bit lighter.

There's also Fresh Scent Green and Peppermint Leaf which might suit.

Cawaps has already mentioned Four Leaf Clover.

These are very bright and saturated colours. Fun for a kid's bedroom.

Try Ben Moore Landscape. The color looks muted on the chip , but is a happy green and remember that with all four walls painted any color you use will look more intense. This is dark enough to look green without being overwhelming.

Thanks good point about all 4 walls. Would like it on all 4 walls so want it to look green but not too intense/overwhelming. The one last mentioned looks more olive green. Would like a green-blue (but not teal) that is bright/crisp but not too overwhelming. Any more suggestions preferably in Benjamin Moore? Thanks!

Landscape doesn't look olive green on my monitor. You can't really trust colours on monitors and screen. Your best bet is to make your way to a Ben Moore store and ask the staff there. Teal, by definition, is green-blue so your teal might not be my teal, etc. Whatever colour tickles your fancy in the store should be tested in the room with your home's light, via chips and large poster boards. So it’s time for me to ask what other colors are you putting with the green? What color is the furniture? Bedding? I would consider NOT painting the room green but something else then bring your green in with window treatments , bedding etc. What is your wallspace like? Are you hanging any art? What about getting some areas framed with moulding and only painting the interior area of that moulding the Kelly green? Or buying large canvases and painting them green as a back drop to art work? I may have missed it but have You shared the other elements in the room yet?

I may be way off base here but I used Annapolis Green in my master bath up north and really loved it.

Regarding other elements of the room - will be white furniture and bedding TBD. It is just that my son loves green and don’t want to just paint one wall green so looking for a bright cheerful preppy green but not too strong. A lot of these look like great suggestions! In Ben Moore? I think we suggested pretty much everything that looked remotely like what you described. Have you had a look on their website? What about other brands? You can have them mixed by BM. I just peeked at Behr and found a colour called Lawn Party that looks (on monitor) as you describe. But again, you can't judge a colour by what you see on your monitor or screen. You and I are most probably not seeing the same thing. This colour, on my monitor, looks bright, cheerful, preppy and not too strong:

Give him green bedding and accessories, and paint the walls white. Then you can change it out when he decides he wants a new color.

Good idea on green bedding and white walls but he really has his heart set on green walls so will probably do so.

Post a photo after you've painted. It will be interesting to see what you end up with.
