seamless undermount to laminate with Karran sink?

Anybody have experience with seamlessly undermounting a Karran sink to laminate? I'm looking to save costs with laminate counters. The biggest advantage I see of granite and quartz, over laminate is the undermount sink. Solid surface is even better in that regard with a seamless sink. But I am hoping to get the best of both worlds and seamlessly undermount to laminate with this special sink. Please share advice and tips!

We have an Karran undermount sink done with Formica counters. We've had it in our kitchen for 4 years now and absolutely love it. It is seamless with no edges underneath to collect mold like many undermounts in quartz and stone. We did have it done by professionals, so I can't speak to you about doing a DIY job.

I know I'm in the minority with choosing Formica over granite, but I fell in love with a very specific countertop look (Atlantic Salt Quartz) that I just couldn't get close to in granite without costing almost as much as the quartz. I just didn't like any of the Type A granite being offered and I couldn't pony up $4500 for my counters, so I found a close replica in Formica and splurged on the undermount Karan sink and still spent less than half to have my counters custom made and installed . I have never regretted that decision.

It is a very high quality countertop that is more ecofriendly than granite and it doesn't chip like granite (plus many glasses and dishes have been saved when dropped on the laminate that would've shattered on granite). So while I know most people are going to tell you to "just get granite," the Formica counters can be a really nice alternative and you have hundreds of choices in color and finish.

You will spend more than a Group A granite for poorer performance. Laminate is only a bargain when choosing the most basic of options. You are outside that parameter.

Thinscape is just being introduced by Wilsonart. The price point is under that of solid surface and you can do an under mount sink. I like the look and am thinking of doing it for my kitchen.

BEWARE. I still remember to TOTAL FIASCO and lawsuits that was Wilsonart SSV. I cannot believe that they did not learn their lesson from that very expensive failure.

Just read about Wilsonart Thinscape and SSV. Very interesting. No doubt GreenDesigns is correct, grade A granite is what I should be getting, it performs well and would make the house more attractive than any other material when the time comes to sell (though I wouldn't expect to move for a very, very long time.) The only problem is I just don't like it. I find it cold, hard, and loud, I can't use my favorite cleaner (vinegar) on it, and I find most granite too busy looking, and some downright distracting and unattractive.

Having the same issues here. The Formica color I love is a C so more than the A granite but the A granite looks so bad with all the specks and splatters

Mounting a Karran Edge series sink to laminate is an excellent idea. No caulk, no gap, no clips.

No, it is unnecessary, as the sink is adhered in place at the flange.
