I think Taupe of the Morning is going to end up being hard to work with because of the pinkness. Mis-match the undertones in any of your hard finishes and ouch. Including the floor. What is the floor?

my eyes are searching for contrast when I look at the design summary...last pic. I think i might go with the lighter or near that for the entire perimeter and more contrast for the island. probably a little darker island than the shitake. is the island cooktop a final decision?...you could extend the island width by 10-12 inches it seems..why not?

these are stains on wood..but if you had them darken the shiitake youd get close to something similar.. then I'd go w your lighter pick on the perimeter.

Great eye! We are actually extending the island. We like the monochromatic look and would like to keep all the same color. I currently have white cabinets and I would like a change which is why the creamy mushroom seemed like a good option.

is the floor chosen..I still believe some contrast would benefit , if you could find a way to do so, keeping your overall theme intact. the floor is a good spot for that.

a bit more contrast between cabs and floor enhances things. [do you want such a light floor anyway ?]

The floor is a keeper. I know it’s a pain to keep clean but we do love the look of it. The countertops and floor are set. We have flexibility with backsplash and of course cabinet color

Try BM pashmina or edgecomb gray

I love grieges and taupes but they can so often go pink or violet that it would make me nervous for cabs - what about SW accesible beige or BM revere pewter? Sampelize will be your friend so you can see the color in different parts of the kitchen as the light will really matter
