Ko Seedling Bloom
Still waiting! Seed sown Sept 2017. My first bloom is almost here, color unknown because of The Evil Bird Family(Curve-Bill Thrasher) that last year repeatedly pulled all my seedlings out of labeled pots.
Even after I used a communal pot with a screen basket they found a way in. They also topped and trimmed root on one. My best guess is yellow or white? I did have a couple try to bloom over the winter. Funny this year they are leaving seedlings alone? go figure.
Communal Pot: These are the slow guys at least until the last week or so now that the temperatures are normal, last month below avg temperatures were in the 50's with daytime highs as low as 70.
Surprisingly one gave me radial roots potted up in April on top of a Folgers lid:

I took this this morning since the last pic would not load, looks like the taller one grew an inch overnight. At this rate I need to re-pot into individual pots before the rains. Not all are Ko seed I threw some arabicum seed from my plant in spots that Ko seed did not germina

Update: Here is the first flower and looks like it isn't going to open wider hopefully subsequent flowers will open more.

it finally opened all the way, yippee...... The base is getting really bushy and I'll but with the monsoons almost here I will get a huge growth spurt.

Off topic I took these pictures after watering potted plants:
Bath time on my rose bushes and I would swear this guy or another hovered in front of me yesterday trying to communicate. There has been one that was sitting on a branch watching me as I work in the garden but never waited for the photo shoot.

2nd tree first bloom:
This looks like a keeper! It resembles "Black Fire" which is a single petal. The only double or triple seed purchased was "Excellent Lover" which is sort of red with a splotch and streak of red on the petals. I have another red coming but I think it will be another week before it blooms.

Update: Ko Seed planted 2017 finally in bloom for the first time, Harry Potter? Though looking at what I posted here it doesn't show Harry Potter seed. Plant has interesting form and a lot of buds.
The other one which has bloomed a few years now has a larger flower, deeper red, hardly any throat strips, few blooms.
